Local-first by design.
Last updated: October 6, 2026. Contractor Clipper's purpose is to turn supplier-product information you explicitly scan into reusable sourcing records and estimates.
Quote and sourcing data
The extension may handle product titles, SKU/MPN/UPC, brand, model, description, prices, currency, material, finish, colour, dimensions, availability, images, source URL/domain, supplier data, quantities, markup, delivery, labour, tax, project/client information, procurement status, quote terms and optional business branding. This workspace data is stored in Chrome local extension storage on your device.
Website access
Contractor Clipper does not passively track browsing history. Temporary access to the active tab is used after you invoke the extension and choose to scan the current product page.
Paid plans and Paystack
If you choose a paid plan, checkout is hosted by Paystack. The billing email you enter is sent to Paystack to initialize the subscription. Card details are entered directly on Paystack and are not handled by Contractor Clipper. After payment, the extension can send your signed activation license to the Contractor Clipper billing service to verify whether the Paystack subscription is active. The license represents a Paystack customer code; quote, supplier and client-project data are not sent with entitlement checks.
Optional billing permission
The extension requests access to the billing-service origin only when you activate or manage a paid license. This permission is optional and is not needed for the Free plan or for scanning supplier pages.
Client approval packages
Business can export a self-contained client approval HTML file. The quote is written into that file on your device. The client's Accept/Decline action creates a JSON response file on the client's device. Contractor Clipper does not receive that response automatically; the contractor imports it manually. The quote fingerprint is used to check that the response matches the exported estimate.
Sharing and tracking
Contractor Clipper does not sell workspace data, use it for personalized advertising or include behavioral analytics in the extension. The current release does not upload your quote workspace to a Contractor Clipper cloud database.
Backups and deletion
You can create a local JSON backup and delete projects, library items and reusable settings. Uninstalling the extension removes extension storage according to Chrome's extension-data behavior. Subscription cancellation is managed through Paystack's hosted subscription-management page.
